That's the one - it's possible it's not checked for the OP here.
Mine works (and is sometimes annoying when my wife connects her phone but only wants to charge it)

you can get a charge only (data blocker) adapter for your wife’s cable so you don’t get disconnected. I had to get one for the same reason.
