Following. If someone takes this on I’d love to see what comes of it.

I cut my teeth, in the auto industry, working on the development programs for International/Caterpillar trucks for markets outside the North American market. We got the CT 610 and 630 built and launched. We had another really cool program, called Global Eagle and Dominator, that was unfortunately moth-balled after $330million of development.

Working on the International/Caterpillar trucks was the most fun part of my career so far. So I’ve got a soft spot for the two brands.

The title is a little misleading........ I was thinking someone was thinking about this picture and their JT.

I expected a hello kitty theme or carol baskin! Am pleasantly surprised!
It’s subtle. Less is more? Maybe it needs something else.

Sounds like a dream job. If you asked me where I wanted to work when I was a kid, it would be Tonka.

It was a cool place to work and being in strategy roles in the auto industry is fun. Unfortunately, International made a bet on EGR exhaust treatment when the industry knew SCR was the tech to reach the regulations. It almost buried the company and unfortunately slowed investments and growth in the Global division. I was early in my career and couldn’t reach my salary goals while the company was retrenching and rebuilding. So I left.

They’ve figured things out and are doing better now. I’ve found a good path as well but still look back at Navistar, and the International & Caterpillar brands with all good memories.

I used to have a Honda Big Ruckus that I turned into the Ruckapillar. People used to ask me about it all the time. I told them the Cat store in town carried them and they were only $1200. I wonder how many people actually went in there... :CWL:
