I was looking to see what my options are for a strobe or chase light for rear facing application. I don't have plans for a bed rack where they're typically mounted. I wanted something similar to the Rigid chase light (not the bar) because of the strobe options and smaller size but mounting where it makes sense seems limited. This light would be primarily used for off road and inclement weather so I wouldn't need back up illumination. I wanted to avoid anything that would hang under the bumper that can get caught up. I've seen light kits that go in the rear bumper where the reflectors are located but those lights aren't strobes unless someone has seen another option out there.

So I wanted to see if anyone has seen a chase or strobe option on the rear of the JT that isn't mounted on a rack.

Thanks!

What about using the Z-mini strobe option?

Depending on the color you want but assume amber LED Outfitters has a mess of them that are reasonably prices.

I have a 6 light unit on my back rack for Fire/EMS use that is dual color so i can use amber. Over the years installed many of these lights on trucks. A favorite of volunteers is a small bracket on front of bed to hold the bar behind the back window. May be an option. Keeps the light up out of the snow/mud from under the bumper.

The Tazr has a light show/flasher functionality for the OEM lights. It's intended for off road use; then there is no need for additional lights. Just something to think about.

Most chase lights are mounted up high in hopes that the thickness of dust is less….. (makes me laugh because we race DP4 sxs and the dust is so insane it doesn’t matter where you mount them)

anyways- I don’t know of a way to mount them up high without a rack- headache rack, or bedrock…. But- if safety is your goal… the led whip antenna lights stand out a TON…. And they are super easy to mount… they make cb antenna Mounts for the trail rails, rear bumper, etc. (food for thought). ???

Rugged Ridge and Maximus 3 both make chase racks (not bed racks) purpose built for the Gladiator. makes it really practical to mount any lights you want, and I think they look sharp as hell but I'm bias.
