That looks like it would be handy for cargo as well. Does it fit on top of the storage area if you fold the seat bottoms up?
Didn't even think to try that. I'll try out after work and let you know. It all depends if the straps that wrap around the headrest will expand down that far.

I’m just thinking it will give you a flat floor with the seats up even if the straps don’t reach. Allowing you to load over the under seat storage area.
Is it made of plywood covered in cloth or vinyl?

Thanks for the suggestion... one of the first thing my wife said “where’s the dog going to go?”

are the car seat brackets still exposed? So I could take the dog and baby?

Yeah, there's zippers that allow you to open up the buckles. Also, it can fold up so that a seat can be exposed and then the platform can be on the other side and create a little barrier between the dog and the baby which could be a plus!

Best part about amazon..if it doesnt work, you can send it back!

I have a 70lb Golden and 60lb Shepherd/Rot mix and it did just fine. The platform is stable and the support is being held by the front seats. Worst case, you can get some plywood to replace the boards in there.

Its blown me away for only being 50 bucks. I was looking at others on amazon similar to this that were $100+
