Cheaply made cap

Took the entire top off the JT today, which was awesome. It was actually very easy, and way lighter and easier than the 4 Door Wrangler

My only complaint is there is a cap that hides the defrost wires on the glass. The clips are poorly made and flimsy. They bent and broke on my first time on and off.... I really wasn’t forcing it.... they’re just made cheaply.

I’m hoping they will send me another one, but not sure it will matter even if I’m more careful

Well s**t, guess I’m ordering my JT without power steering, inner fender liners, radio, bed tie-downs, or a top now!

Taken mine off twice now and no issues.....actually thought it clever the way you can "hide" the wire when top is off by inserting it into a cubby with a cap as well.....smart!!!

Agree. Already have 8 recall letters and my LE hasn’t even been built yet. Oh well. 1st world problem. Could make new plywood cover to replace the plastic one.

Definitely read the manual. There's a specific method to removing the door pillar panels to disconnect those door harnesses also.

So the JT doesn’t come with a manual.... I can only read it online!

Would you mind starting a thread on the recalls you have received so far? There is a section under know issues that has a place for recalls but no one has started anything on it yet?

There are no recalls currently on the JT.
