Check Engine Light

My check engine light came on yesterday, need to change the batteries, the auto stop stop has been on a few days….but got “intake valve Colton solenoid 2 circuit/open, Bank 1 Camshaft 2 position actuator circuit/open, Bank 1 Camshaft 1 position actuator circuit/open and intake valve Colton solenoid 1 circuit/open…this is going to be fun

How many miles? I got the check engine light while climbing a steep hill on a hwy. shop pulled the plugs, which were fine, but borescope found the #1 Camshaft had a worn lobe and rocker. My engine only had 75,000 miles

I wonder if Heat treatment, hardening of the cam shaft has something to do with that ? Or is it the angle of the engine . Did it starve out the ones in the front of the motor

My JT is a 2021. This was the the first lobe and rocker closest to front of engine.

it’s been running great since the replacement earlier this year but confidence isn’t great that another camshaft won’t have the same issue.

Out of curiosity what brand of oil was you running when it happened

Not a specific oil brand loyalist. Over the course of the truck's life so far I have used Mopar, Penzoil, Mobile 1 and Kendall. Just made sure it met the jeep specific requirements. Jiffy Lube did the last previous oil change with Penzoil.
