Does anyone else have a clicky - clackey noise from front wheel area when slowly moving and turning like in a parking lot? Drives fine. No issues. It’s just annoying at this point.
I think it might be the brake hardware or maybe the u joints but want to consult the community.
This is my first Jeep so be gentle when you tell me the obvious reason :)
thanks.

That sounds like a CVJ. Does yours have CVJs on the front axle or U joints?

No noise would be normal. You might double check the axle nut torque.....100ftlb. I frequently find those loose and they really make noise when in 4wd turning.

Mine makes this noise when in 2H. I haven’t been in 4H or 4Lo yet so don’t know if it is also noisy.

Have you driven on any dirt roads or I paved parking lots? I’ve noticed the tires on mine are small stone magnets.

I have been on dirt and gravel roads but not at slow speeds. Plus this definitely sounds like metal on metal.

There is a TSB out for checking the lower ball joint nut torque for a low speed turning clicking noise.

Does the clickedy clackedy only occur when driving on railroad tracks?

I envision the scene from Groundhog Day when Bill Murray is driving the Caddy with the 2 drunk dudes on the tracks.
