So, luckily my JT is still low miles and has a slight new smell, BUT I have started going to the gym a lot lately where I will get back in the truck to go home after a good sweat session.
I can only assume that with time, this will turn my cloth seats into a funk factory. What are the best ways to clean the seats and keep them looking new / smelling fresh?

I know seat covers may be a good investment, but it would be good to know what everyone else is using / doing?

I have a Bissel Little Green Clean machine for when it gets really dirty (not often, but you know kids and dogs). Otherwise warm water and a cloth.

don't get sweaty?

I don't understand why people are always trying to solve symptoms and not the root problem.

You could also rent a steam cleaner from HD or Lowes. Used them on some horrible smelling boat cushions I had. Took all the dirt out and left them smelling clean.

Also, if you get the hig end seat covers (bartact/PRP) they're not as easily removable as you'd like (as in an hour or so to remove and then another hour to put back on). PRP are nice as they're vinyl (Waiting on the Mojave version to come out but I'll go that route again).

Down side, they're vinyl...can get pretty warm here

i have Cover King neoprene seat covers, water proof. I also bring a change of clothes to the gym, shower when I'm done, and put the gym bag in the bed as to not make my truck smell bad. You could always have a towel or so behind/under you as to not infect your seat as well, cheaper version of seat cover.

Very easy to remove and install temporary seat towels like these work great for keeping seats clean and dry. Easy to throw them in the washer for cleaning. Been using these for years. Not sure the link is the best choice but it gives you an idea for the product I'm thinking of. Good Luck!! https://www.amazon.com/Leader-Accessories-Waterproof-Sweat-Bucket/dp/B01KNWU66W
Never specifically heard of the "seat towel" before but glad to learn of them. There are times I have to do some really grubby task and then climb into the truck before I can actually change clothes. Going to get some of these as something to have on hand. I used to order trucks with "knitted vinyl" seats as something more comfortable than vinyl but a lot more low-maintenance than cloth.
