Was it the weld nuts that hold the skid plate?I had the same clunking noise at low speeds and backing out of driveways. The dealership replaced my ball joints and it didn’t help. Brought it back to the dealer a second time and they couldn’t find where the noise was coming from. The service manager said he didn’t hear anything. I opened a case with Jeep Wave and after about a week at the dealership they finally found the problem. Under the skid plate they found welded nuts broken inside of the frame. They replaced them with locking nuts and problem solved. Jeep wave was on top of the dealership and called me several time to update me. So if your dealership can’t solve your problem or gives you the run around file a case with Jeep Wave. After doing this I’ve never been treated better by a dealership.
