Towed great! No problems towing a 2200 lb car on a 1200 lb trailer. Even had a few hard downshifts getting up hills and the clutch remained smooth and easier to shift. It’s interesting hearing the bad experiences - it sounds like you really need to find a competent tech.
I did! Got the full recall clutch and a new transmission as well. The tech was a great guy from my normal dealer and now, like you, things appear good. Big improvement.

I’m nervous about growing my RV, which is sad because having the Gladiator while camping in the mountains was part of the reason that I purchased.

Thank you for your reply!

Still on the original clutch. Towed 2000lb plus full cargo in the truck, up the CO mountains. Clutch was fine, but the gear ratios sometimes limited me to 45MPH in 2nd due to the big jump to 3rd gear. So the engine was screaming in 2nd gear for a while. All temps remained cool, but the engine was making scary noises near the redline so I backed off a bit, and the rear axle failed almost two years later. Now running 5W30 engine oil and 75w140 diff lube.

Beware....I had my clutch replaced under the 19a a couple of months ago on my 2020 Sport S. Since then, I've had "service transmission" pop up as many as 15 times since the recall was completed. Last time it happened was tonight once I arrived home. I'm driving normally and nothing rough. When this comes up, shifting from 1st thru 3rd is crap with a hesitation at clutch release. I've talked to the dealer several times. They told me to bring it in so they can scan it. Nothing shows on the scans so they send me away saying there is nothing they can do and have no idea why this is happening. I think this is something I'm going to have to live with until Stellantis figures something out.
Any ideas @JeepCares ?
Are you running stock tires and gears?

also have you made any progress getting the service light fixed? Fairly common issue and with no codes but seems no one has a solid solution.

Larger tires or gears increases the chances of the service transmission light with post recall software.

Running stock 3.73 gears. My Sport S came with the street tires and I upgraded to Mojave takeoff wheels and MT tires. I still get the light intermittently. While it's on, shifting is clunky and engagement is off where it normally is. Once the light goes out, shifting is back to normal. No fixes I can find.

So little bigger tire I’d assume….
Agreed on no fix I can find either…. I’m thinking possibly having dealer program my tires instead of aftermarket Jscan but not sure if this would just be waste of money or not yet.

If you have Tazer or Jscan you can reset it quickly and be on your way instead of waiting it out and dealing with that….

Yes, slightly bigger but, nothing that should or has caused any issues since I changed them out in 2020.
I've pondered having the dealer program it, then again, such a small change shouldn't make a difference and in my opinion would be a waste of money. I've thought of buying a jscan just haven't done it yet. Don't think it would fix the issue though. If programming would do anything I'd hope that JEEP would have said that would help by now.

Yeah agreed in your case a it shouldn’t much matter on tire size. JScan is good for other things and isn’t to pricey. I went from stock Mojave 33s to 35s sooo it could be a contributing factor but I’ve heard some who have none stock and still have this dreaded issue lol.

First clutch replaced at 49000kms. That clutch replaced with the recall. I have OEM 33's.
Got the first service transmission message 2 days after the recall. Took it back to the dealer and had them reflash the software. All seemed good but never left the city with it. Yesterday was the first road trip since the recall and the service transmission message popped up again about 200kms into the trip. I pulled over and restarted the truck. It didn't clear the message. Drove the rest of the trip and let it sit for about 3 hours. No message at start up and no message for the 350km trip home.
Acceleration is shit. Fourth gear and hit the gas to pass a vehicle and nothing but a slow increase in speed. Roughly 1km/sec on the speedo.
If I replace this garbage with an aftermarket (Centreforce) does that fix the issue that no one has a fix for?

The Centerforce would fix the fact that the factory clutch is trash and feels like trash but it won’t fix the service transmission light. It’s a software problem unfortunately. It seems larger tires or gears make it a more notable issue but those who have it stock really get the short straw cause there isn’t much that can be played with to help the issue.
You can take it in for dealer to look but that may or may not get you anywhere. You can get Tazer or Jscan and be able to reset the clutch eeprom which should reset your service trans light and you acceleration issue when your having problems.

Cheers.
I'm at a loss to understand how a billion dollar company can't develop software to work with their vehicles.
The first software flash back in 2021 permanently reset the language on my vehicle to Croatian. It did nothing to address the clutch overheating. I had to wait a month for them to fix that. Then this recall has its own issues after the fact.
I have no confidence to take this truck off road when it shits the bed as a pavement princess.
I sent a nasty email to FCA this morning. Their recall is in need of a recall.

I did the act hd clutch and I liked it but to do it again I’d probably went Centerforce II clutch with the internal slave cylinder to get rid of all the junk Jeep parts.

I’ve since sold my Mojave at 15,000miles last week because I was tired of the issues and the future issues that were coming.
