Ever since replacing my steering components with Core 4x4 stuff (1.75” diameter), I’ve been dealing with clearance issues regarding the stabilizer and drag link.
I got to thinking yesterday: is there any reason the stabilizer has to be mounted to the passenger side of the tie rod? What if one end of the stabilizer is mounted to the center of the axle, and the other end mounted to the driver side of the tie rod?
If the stabilizer is just absorbing/dampening shock on the tie rod, does it matter where on the tie rod it actually is, or does it need to be close to the drag link knuckle joint?
