I'm going to assume that firewall plug you pulled for access on the driver's side is for the clutch pedal. That wouldn't work for me. :)

That's what I understand. When you have a chance perhaps you can confirm that plug/hole is used by the clutch.

When it's necessary to run things in close proximity - CROSS the wires, don't run them parallel.
i heard the same thing with coax wires/cat5 and speaker wires in the home. try to make the power wires run perpendicular to, not parallel.

I know I'm this this thread from the dead, but it came up in my google search where I also found the following:

Thought it might be useful to anyone else who hits upon this thread.

P.S. Not certain, but I think the guy who made the video has a Wrangler JK. I say that because my JT Rubicon does not have that grommet hole he uses (I do have the clutch hole grommet) and the area behind his instrument panel end cap is somewhat open compared to the JT which is largely blocked off.
