Cooler doesnt fit with tonneau cover

I just want to vent, they should of made the bed a little taller, it doesnt fit most coolers, I have a kenai 65 and a yeti 45, they dont fit with the tonneau cover on, so annoyed. Do other pickups have this little issue? I carry a lot of fishing and beach stuff so the tonneau has to stay. I think ill buy extension straps for the buckles so I can at least fold one section and secure it. weird to have a pickup with a cooler that doesnt fit

i have two of the 60 or 65 qt white igloo chests, one of which i take deer hunting for a week to put deer meat in. it wouldnt fit under my folding soft cover, so i removed the lid, made one out of 3/8 plywood that is inset, and tacked some of that pink closed cell foam (1 inch) insulation on the bottom, and made leather hinges. it works as good as the other lid and just fits under the cover. i do have a horse stall mat for a bed mat that is about an inch thick also. works good.

Try this .....fits perfectly. Made in USA to boot. I measured and shopped. Only one I could find in size I wanted that would sneak in under tonneau. I’d have a bed mat as well. Another 1/4” or so.

I have the red version of that one and it fits under my access loredo soft cover as well.

this is a yeti 65 and two pelican 2975 fits with an inch left over . So when the gate is locked liberals cant open them.

I have the bakflip mx4 on mine and my cooler is just a bit too high and the cross bar hits it on the last section. Anyone know if I can take the cross bar off since the tailgate supports that last section anyways?

I have a rugged ridge trifold cover and I have an Engel fridge that has lived in my truck for the last 3 or 4 years or so, and it fits perfectly... I originally had the smaller Bluetti battery that went belly up and they gave me a new one for free about a year ago. I just upgraded to their new Bluetti AC180p batter and it allow me enough room to still stow a shade tarp or Gazelle tent. I have it rigged with a DC brick from the 400 watt inverter in the bed. Note: the Gladiator inverter will not directly charge any battery stations because it is not a pure sine wave, so, you have to go back to DC with a Brick charger. Anyway, the Engel is fine with the Gladiator inverter and pulls from there when the truck is running, then, switches to DC when the truck is off. In the summer time, if I am not driving the truck alot, I will hook it up to a house extension cord. Here is a pic. Honestly, having a full time fridge is a game changer.

It works great so far on multiple uses and rough rides.... Fits snug but it fits
