Corrosion on Hood, and Doors

I’ve got some corrosion starting on my 2021 JT Rubicon, and I’m trying to figure out the best way to get it taken care of under warranty. Does anyone know the proper steps to make sure the repair is done right?

I’ve heard a lot of horror stories; dealerships either trying to dodge the repair or not submitting to Jeep in time, Jeep delaying repairs while in warranty just so they can deny the claim stating it is now out of warranty , or the paint job being so bad that the corrosion comes back in a year or two. I really want to avoid all that and go through the right channels. Ideally, I’d like it repaired by a shop that offers a lifetime warranty on their paint work. Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated! I’m in Salt Lake City and have had great experiences with my local dealership but after reading all the horror stories I just want to make sure I get it right the first time with no delays that eventually turn into denials.

I had the exact same thing, and in the same places. I found out the hard way, according to Jeep, the dealer HAS to have their own body shop or they will not approve the repairs. I had a dealership tell me that they had submitted the request and it was approved. When I pressed them about what the repairs were going to be, they hemmed and hawed about repainting the hood and I told them I wanted the hood replaced, the dealer told me to call Jeep. So, when I called Jeep directly they in fact did not show any request for repairs. I was told that the dealer HAD to have their own body shop before Jeep would approve any repairs. Please don't shoot the messenger, I am just repeating what I was told. And, for me it worked, I took it to a dealership that had their own body shop, and they replaced the hood and all four doors, no question and no cost. Just my experience.

They want it to go to a Jeep body shop because no other shop will work for Jeep warranty rates.

I had the same issue, plus corrosion on the the doors and hinges, I took it to my local Jeep dealer and had the adjuster come out and take pics. They do not have a body shop at this dealership. They had the local Ford dealership do the repairs. It took one week for the approval and then 1 week for the repairs. I also have a 2021 Gladiator.

Not entirely true, the body shop at work just did 3 Jeep warranty jobs last month. They are a GM/Ford dealership.
