I am eyeing the Mopar steel bumper and the fit around any winch looks kind of tight. Has anyone had any issues with their winch getting rained on? I'm guessing a IP68 rating can take being rained on and not have any problems?

No cover needed. The synthetic rope is pretty much/completely blocked from the sun.

Everything is designed to get wet. Rain is no issue.

I have a Ramsey 9500 on my 03 F250 installed the winch in04. The winch is faded but still works like new. When I get a winch for my TJ if I get synthetic bable I will get a cover, other wise will not worry about it.

My winch is up right next to the grill so I couldn’t do a cover if I wanted too and have been told that it’s not needed
