take it to a windshield repair shop and see if they can fill the crack. There are lots of YouTube videos showing the results of windshield crack repair. I have two cracks in my JLUR. I used AutoZone windshield kits to fix the bullets and fill the cracks. It’s not a perfect repair but the cracks haven’t run any further. A good windshield tech may be able to fix yours.

Unfortunately Murphy likes to have fun with Jeep owners. I had my JK for 3 months when my rear view mirror came off in my hand and spidered the windshield. I didn’t call @JeepCares but I called the dealer. Was told not under warranty. Went to Safelite and got a new one put in and a week later, a truck on the highway threw up a rock and put a bullseye in it Did the windshield repair kit from O’rielly and it hasn’t grown. 3 more since. Same solution. As someone else said, part of owning a wrangler.

Unless you really have to have the OEM glass with the Easter Eggs, there is aftermarket glass to be had. Had my JL less than a month after launch late 2018 and got a gravel piece kicked into my windshield and shattered it pretty bad. Glass place had a aftermarket but OEM provider of the windshield installed the next day for about $400 installed. Lost the Easter Egg graphics but such is life.

Dude that sucks! It happens though when you choose to drive a vehicle with a nearly vertical windshield. Every Jeep person gets one eventually.

back in 04 I had an H3 Hummer that windshield was straight up and down had it three years never had one rock chip it's not the vertical of it I mean that can kind of help getting cracks but like I said the Hummers were straight up and down and they didn't have this problem it's just something in the windshield that they've made it not very good there's been people turn their defrost on it when it was cold and it cracks on them that is make sense I've had people say something about it's real cold outside don't turn the heat on defrost real quick you have to gradually do it or something or the cracked windshield that means there's something wrong with a glass.I've got it on my insurance where I pay $50 to get a new windshield and it doesn't go against me as a claim if you're the Dallas-Fort Worth area Rob Wertz is in the north Texas Jeep club and is on Facebook he runs his own business that's all he does 24-hour Glass service he put one in for you that's aftermarket for about 200 last that are stock one and he has the little decal with a Jeep on it so it looks just like it and everyone says it better than the original one that came in it and people are not having a problem like they do on the stock one

Lived in Arizona where you can count on chipped and or broken windshields. Added full glass coverage with no deductable for an extra $12. a year on the policy. Replaced two windshields at no cost....well worth it!

I'd assume that it is the same glass at the JL. Call Safelite. They come out to wherever the vehicle is and get it done quick.

I wouldn't claim it on insurance. I had "free glass repair." Got a new windshield and they jacked up the premium next time around. Searched for new insurance and all companies showed that I had a claim causing the rates to go up for all of them. You end up paying for it so might as well do it out of pocket up front. It will be cheaper.

My 2012 JK has at least 8 rock chip repairs and has never cracked. Just get your chips filled. It's usually free with any insurance or some shops will sell you a lifetime repair package for under $50. It can't help with cracks, but most cracks come from chips so it's worth considering.

Im so pissed!!! Rock hit my windshield today, now crack stretches about 9' across driver side! Same situation, companies don't have glass yet for these, and OEM says maybe Aug!? Oh and Hi everyone! first post here! I wish it was a better reason!

I replaced my JL glass within 1k miles with aftermarket. No chips or cracks since. $330.00 installed.

It is a clear 4mil exterior rock chip protection film. It has a limited Warranty for peeling and yellowing/flaking and I have another company that offers breakage warranty as well for about 75$ Let me know if I was at all helpful. kits would run about 100.00-120.00 shipped. I just need to work on shipping and packaging cost. they will be an edge to edge coverage on the windshield.
