No, it's an option and a recent one at that. No 2020 could be ordered with it, not sure when it came in.
Mfgr's warranty doesn't cover road hazards and chips from rocks, sandblasting, etc. Only defects.

Well mine lasted 10,000 mi, picked up a nick on my way to work one day. Then the crack grew and grew, somdays an inch others 6. Currently about 6” from passenger side window frame

Gotcha, thanks for that, I guess I missed that part when looking to buy my 21, now I gotta ask the dealer how much it is to replace it with the gorilla glass, as well as replacing my rear windshield since it leaks when it rains.

I was considering replacing my cracked OEM windshield with Gorilla Glass, but I believe that this thread has taught me that GG is no better than a traditional windshield ?

Last week, Gorilla Glass was a $195.00 option. This week, it's a $295.00 option when ordering a new JT.

It looks like that $295 would be better spent almost anywhere.....the sole purpose of opting for GG is to prevent chips and cracks and it doesn’t appear to do either ?

I have the 2020 and I had three cracks in my windshield before I put 10,000 miles on it. If any of the gladiators are coming standard it must be the 2022's. However I replaced, the second time, my windshield with a gorilla glass windshield for $1100. Four months later it cracked. Just like the regular windshield cracked. I don't think it's any better than the standard windshield and I'd like to see some structured comparison to say it's not. So I got one freebie on the warranty for the gorilla glass which they're going to put in next week and after that I'll just go back to replacing it with regular windshields.

The rear windshield leaking should be covered under warranty.

I went to the dealer and they told me because I line-x’d the hardtop that it voids the warranty for the back window

Bummer. I line-x'd mine too. So far no leaks, though. If it does leak, I guess I'll reseal it with some silicone.

Yeah I was thinking of using either silicon or just sticking a weather strip in there, the dealer wanted to charge me $195 just to write it up and look at it
