Review on Currie currectlync steering

Interested in running the complete set up that Clayton offers, what do you fellas think about the currect lynx steering setup preforms.

Plan to run 40s on the Clayton 3.5 kits.

Not a heavy rock crawler, bad roads and camping style build
I have the Currie RockJock CurrectLync steering, totally adequate so far through 37s. Not had any problems with it. I will be going to probably a CavFab Aluminum setup at some point, for the memory that aluminum brings to the game and some weight savings.
Same price point as the Currect Lync - https://cavfab.com/products/2-5t-steering-system-trdlebo-jl-jlu-jt?variant=44860235481340

If seen this set up I believe it’s a 2.5 ton, correct? If I’m not mistaken they have black colorway that looks nice

Currie makes good stuff. I personally will be going with an aluminum tie rod (wfo with their hydro assist end mount (call and talk with them- it’s not on their site)) but would have no issues going with a chromoly drag link.

tie rods are too easy to accidentally bump and chromoly bends and does not self straighten…. Aluminum has forgiveness… I understand many don’t intend to rock crawl, but things still happen…. My $0.02 :)

I had two of the currentlync kits in the last year. Both wobbled/drooped after a few months. Switched to Apex for beefier and longer lasting tie rod ends.

I have been thinking Apex or Steersmart..
Currectlync is part of Clayton package, figured I would get some reviews before the purchase.. thank you

Glad you brought this up, I'm starting to look into replacing factory steering linkage, I'm finding play in steering already. ? :headbang: And trying to sort out best option. I would go with rod ends but do not want to be replacing them 2-5 times a year.
My XJ was that maintenance intensive on them wearing out.
Go figure my 05 LJ steering with 255000 miles and tiny factory stuff is holding up. Well, I did lose a grease zerk on one tie rod end I noticed when greasing it then replaced.

From experience on my JK, the Correctlync stuff is junk. It didn't hold up to rock crawling. Tie rod ends wore out quickly, the tie rod bent easily and looked like a pretzel within 3 months.

Currie told me to pound sand when I contacted them about my problems.

I went with Fusion 4x4 aluminum stuff in the JK. 7075 aluminum that just flat out works. They now have JT steering. It's a bit pricey but they are well worth it.

This is the type of stuff I wheel in with the JK. Many times I have had the full weight of the JK on the tie rod. It's got a few scrapes but it's still straight as an arrow after 6 years of abuse.
