Dash Colors

So my previous 2021 Wrangler Rubicon had the red dash that I thought all Rubicons had. Then I bought my 2023 Gladiator Rubicon EcoDiesel. It has a pale gray dash, not red. I thought maybe it was because it was a diesel, So just curious, what’s up with the dash colors?
Yes, I guess I’m a little bored at lunch, lol!

I have a 2020 JTR in the hydro blue that I ordered as soon as the color was released, and it came with a dark grey dash. At first I was a little disappointed but have come to like it better than the red dash.

There is a company out there that makes dashes in all different colors, it's on my list (wayyyy down my list) to eventually get a color matched dash.

Tan leather gets gray dash. I have tan leather and my first question to salesman was about red dash.

Mine is black cloth seats with the grey dash

I like the color matched dash. Has an old school feel.

Okay, so maybe the tan leather isn’t why I got grey also??? Who knows, maybe it is builders choice, lol!

No I think you are correct on builders choice I think all tan leather got grey dash but I think only the first 600 blue got the grey dash before someone corrected the assembly line

There are probably other companies but you might be referring to Distinction Applied. My wife's JT is gator colored so she has it all gator themed. This is the color matched interior trim pieces we got from Distinction Applied. Top quality work for sure. It's kind of hard to tell with the shadows and lighting but the color match to the paint is spot on.

I swapped mine out, I couldn't stand the "Red" which was really a rose color..

My 2021 Hydro Blue Mojave came with the grey painted dash. Looked OK with the grey upholstery, but I splurged for upgraded upholstery in two tone grey with diamond stitched panels and orange piping to match my Mojave orange details.
At that point I also got the dash covered in grey leather with orange double stitching, somewhat copying the 2024 dash. That final detail changed the whole feel of the car by getting rid of the cheap plastic look.
