T-shirts and apparel are a big percentage of HD gross income, bikes not so much now.

Every other bike on the road in my area is a new H-D. It seems cool now to own a bike from just about any manufacturer other than Harley. New H-Ds flooded our markets, drove resale values to ridiculous lows. Good for someone wanting to get into one.

If I feel like the dealer treated me well, I have no problem leaving their advertisement on, if it's somewhat unobtrusive.

I once saw a Corvette with a big red and white dealer decal smack dab in the center of the rear end- literally centered between the tail lights

I really don't go out of my way to remove a dealer decal unless it is obtrusive or I was in my mind " Done Wrong". The one on there now is from the Volvo dealership I got it from. I will eventually get around to removing it. It is maybe 2x4 inches. But that dealer treated me great. Got a smoking deal on my JTR and a smoking deal on my 2015 Z71 Colorado. I could not be more happy.

That Corvette with a decal smack dab in middle of tail lights? That's a bit over the top. That would be immediately removed been it my Vette.

Well here’s my two cents. I owned a Silverado and had a fender bender. The repair was horrific at the dealer. After many times to correct it, it got worse. So I bought a pissing Calvin sticker and put it above the dealer name on the tailgate, when I took it in for an oil change they asked why I did that And showed the owner? I explained my experience. Not only did they give me back my deductible, but also paid to have it repaired at a different shop. Then I removed both. Works two ways in my book.

thanks Calvin!

I got to mine as it was being taken off the transport truck still with plastic on the wheels etc ( I did not order it). I spent maybe 5 hours at the dealer while they did whatever they did and while I was there I asked them not to put the sticker on. When I finally was ready to take it home they brought it up front and the sticker was there on the back and crooked at that. I couldn’t stand to wait any longer so I kept my mouth shut and got on the road. Salesman told me I didn’t qualify for free oil changes because I didn’t buy that as an option. They weren’t local so I haven’t been back. Not a horrific experience but not good either. They also told me all of there vehicles are shipped to them with an after market alarm system which I had to buy. I got up ready to leave and that went away. Not great, not terrible

Glad you didn't get suckered into the alarm system, I bet it was expensive for what you get such a high profit for the dealer. I would be hard for me to have any trust in a dealer trying to trick me like that.

This has always bothered me. Does it bother anyone else? Not just on Jeeps but all vehicles.
License plate frames are one thing, but a sticker or plaque on the vehicle? No thanks.
I was lucky enough to catch mine on the lot before they tramp stamped it. I informed them what I would charge them for advertising their dealership on the paint of my new Jeep. I thought my offer was reasonable.
$50/mo for the 15 years I plan on keeping it.
They declined my offer.
THAT is always my first modification and if I have to use a heat gun on a sticker or pop off a plastic stick on then acetone the glue, it's coming off when my Jeep hits the driveway.
The dealer tag brackets follow it to the recycle bin

At least they don't drill two holes in your vehicle now like they used to in the old days for chrome metal dealer badges. You would then need body work to fix the holes, plus they were always a rust point.

My dealer (Ron Lewis in South Pittsburgh) was considerate enough to ask, but I see dealer stamps all over the place here in Pittsburgh.

This is the first new vehicle I have purchased (out of about 15 new ones) that I left the dealer sticker on. It isn’t obnoxious and, for every person I recommend to them that purchases any vehicle, I get a $500 cheque. So I leave it on as a reference if someone talks to me about the Jeep, and use the visual to steer them that way.

Our dealer is a small, honest, family owned and run place that takes care of their customers and supports local charities, sports, etc. I wouldn't remove their logo but do wish it was a little better looking!

I did not trust them but it was Gobi last Fall with only the options I wanted. I did not have a whole lot of options if I wanted Gobi
