Got my RSE installed over the weekend. Couldn’t be happier with the fit and finish, also was pretty surprised how quiet and smooth the steps extended compared to others I’ve seen.

Got my RSE installed over the weekend. Couldn’t be happier with the fit and finish, also was pretty surprised how quiet and smooth the steps extended compared to others I’ve seen.

They’re just so good. I know it’s been said, several times by me probably, but I’d recommend picking up some silicone spray lubricant. I use it several times per year, meaning 5 or 6, on all hinges, springs, etc. any moving part. You can see all of these parts easily with the step extended. This keeps things working well for years and years. Also I’d recommend having a few 20amp fuses in the Jeep. When slush or ice coats the outside and stops the step from extending, the fuse usually blows to prevent damage to the steps. I usually turn them off with the switch under the dash to prevent it from happening. I only do so that couple times per year that they get coated in frozen crap.
