DEF - ENGINE WILL NOT RESTART COUNTDOWN

I just received my Ecodiesel Rubicon JT on 2/4/22 after about 120 miles of driving it the engine light came on and it gave me a message "Engine will not restart in 175 miles service DEF " I know there are other complaints and post on DEF issues here but I haven't heard or read any solutions besides deleting the DEF , sounds good but it's not an option where I am . I'll give an update when I get my Jeep back from the dealer .

I’m pretty sure if you delete (or even attempt to) the DEF system that will void your warranty.

Yes you are right it will void the warranty.

There is a TSB that was turned into a recall today 3/8/22 for DEF software specifically.

I was already going in for the TSB, and was informed it became recall this morning. Call your dealership. I’m at 11,110 miles as I type this and I’ve had the CEL and DEF shutdown 2x this winter, cleared itself once…. The other time required some fiddling around and a new connector for the DEF heater.

Do not fret, the 3.0 is a beast and worth every penny.

I want to add to this topic as well.
Mine is a November build 2021 Willys Diesel. My truck is not affected by this recall. So they must have fixed the issue in production

I have only seen that light when I was below 1/4 tank of DEF. ?

Brought the Gladiator in for an oil change this morning and they are working this recall in parallel. Honestly, having had several vehicles that run DEF (PowerStroke F350 (x2), EcoDiesel Grand Cherokee, BMW 335d), the DEF consumption is about on par with what the PowerStrokes used. Granted, they were loaded around max GCWR, and over double the displacement. Eh, small price to be able to idle up waterfalls in low range and only carry two and a half gallons of fuel on overland trips compared to the 12 gallons we carry for the JLU 4xe.

Update , I got my jeep back 30 days ago and they replaced the DEF Pump my engine light turned on today and it's giving me a count down again that my jeep will not restart in xxx amount of miles. "See Dealer Service DEF" this the 3rd time I love the jeep but I honestly I am very disappointed and frustrated at this point with it I can't rely on it or go anywhere far . If they don't get this addressed soon I don't recommend buying a Ecodiesel since I am seeing a lot of problems with this article. I'll take it to the dealer tomorrow morning

I don't understand why some are having this issue even with similar build date. My def gauge reading changes right away after every filled so far. I even tried pouring in just a gallon at a times too.

I'm wondering if pouring in def while ignition or engine running vs off has anything to do with it.
