Over the weekend I got a check engine light with the following message. I called the dealer and they said they are not able to get me in until February!! The truck is parked outside. Recently the temps here in Anchorage were well below zero for several days. I pulled it into the garage for the weekend thinking maybe the fluid might be frozen. This did not help things. I have noticed that I have not been noticing the buzz coming from the DEF system when I turned off the truck. Any suggestions?

Man. Not until Feb is insane. I would reset the system by disconnecting the battery for a couple minutes and see what happen.

Go-ahead and top-up with fresh (if not already). Water from condensation might've crystalized in the injector or associated components. Wouldn't hurt. And yes, the entire industry is completely FUBAR...

I got the Saale message when it was very cold out below zero. As soon as it warmed up it cleared. It is the DEF tank being frozen and when it thawed out the message cleared. I think I need a way to keep the tank warm when it is parked just like the block heater.

Check engine light is back!! Same thing!! Weather here has been unseasonably warm (in the 40’s). In the last couple days weather has returned to normal- lows in the teens. Kind of frustrating.

Same thing happened to mine, at almost the same mileage. Dealer replaced DEF pump and heater unit, and so far it's working as it should.

I'm going to pick mine up right now from the dealer for a CEL related to the def heaters. My service manager said there is a TSB about false codes on this issue. He said if this flash doesn't permanently fix it that Jeep is working on a code that will. Guess we'll see......

Fortunately I didn’t cancel my original appointment with the dealer I purchased it from. I got in on February 4th. I got it back that evening. Again they said it needed software updates. No parts replaced.
