I had a PDR guy take a stab at those lines while he was here working on my other cars. He says he's seen it a lot on the JTs so it's a factory "feature". He made it look 99% good so I don't think about it anymore

Do you know if he did a glue pull or was he able to get to it easily from behind? Just curious.

What did he charge? I'm not going to fix, no point but just curious.

Are you sure it’s not some sort of reflection? Can you actually feel the dent?

Is yours a 2020 or 2021. Maybe its.just the 2021s? Regardless, this proves that the bends are not natural lines.

You cant feel it, and there are no scratches or blemishes from an impact. My assumption is that it happened before the painting process. It really does look like that someone used it as a handle to lift the panel during assembly.

2021...I'm super OCD, so I'm glad I don't have it...

I had the plastic cap off. He could get mostly behind but had to pull some of it along the curve

So the panels are stamped aluminum. The blemish in the filler cap area is from the lack of relief and the close proximity of the rolled edge of fuel door. Not quite oil canning. But its a small spot they didn't take into account for in their tooling. I come from a fabrication and sheet metal background. I have the same thing. Just my opinion.

I have it too. Also have another similar dent on the other side behind the wheel Well. It does bother me, but glad to hear it is not something I had a part in. Thx
