After a year, I’ve never used the media hub or front outlet :/ I feel like these spaces could be better used!

To that end I’m designing covers to replace these plates. Has anyone else tried this? I can share the STL files once I have a functioning prototype if anyone else finds this useful.

I'll take the STL. Like you, I don't use the media center.

Cool, I’ll post it up on Thingiverse or something when done. V5 is printing right now. Probably take a few more revisions to get the fit perfect.

Think I got the fit. Working on mounting for the media hub first.

Have a working passenger side version. Work has been a little crazy lately... hope to test out the driver side one this weekend :)

I’ll post up the design this evening for anyone who wants to play with it.

Will probably iterate a little until the bolts are flush.

Anyone know of aftermarket blank filler panels available for the lower areas - right side for those without factory aux switches and left side for the non-factory locker crowd?

Have you tried printing that so it is a "tall" part not a "short fat" part? I don't know what the back side looks like but you could get rid of all the "waves" if you printed it on it's side.

It’s a good suggestion. I’ll give it a shot when I feel it’s past the prototype phase. Still using cheap filament and trying to get models out fast.

I was thinking of wrapping it in black leather for the final version, or cutting it out of aluminum with a CNC.

I really like this mod.

Have you thought about designing these covers to house two rocker switches?

Take a peak here, 6 posts down..

Thanks, I like it too, the wires are much cleaner now.

It wouldn’t be hard to do, just negative extrude a rectangle though the covers. Do you have a 3d printer? I’d be happy to add a couple holes in the model for you.
I do not have a 3D Printer... Not super savy in that realm.. Suppose I better get a googling...
