Push the start without hitting brake. Will the show run position but engine not running. Now you can reset
Out of my hands for now. Had an appointment at the dealership for Monday. Friday I went to drive the truck and the battery was dead. Charged it and took it in early. Guessing the batteries are bad. Had to Jump start it a month ago as well.

Got the truck back. Tech was gone already so not sure of what caused the problem other than both batteries were shot. Not sure if that caused the issues but all is good now. Still wonder why oil was down to 2% life after only 2559 miles.
Could it have`been caused by the battery being dead the previous month which did mess up my gauges on the offroad pages. Some were reading metric some were Imperial/US. Hootbro suggested and was correct to let it go for a day and it took care of itself... Once I receive my Blackstone report I will post the results.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

The entire reason this happened was because the oil life was not reset. nothing else. The gauge/meter only resets when commanded, the vehicle has absolutely no clue of oil quality/condition, it merely estimates life by a calculation using load and engine on time. With changing the oil at 5k and being at 40-60%, after about another 3k, that final 40% simply expired since it was not reset when the oil was changed.

What I find interesting is that he was locked out from being able to reset it at all regardless. I would not think he is the first person either on the JL or JT side to have run into letting the OLM expire but should have been able to reset it.

Something tells me that might not be fully true, but I've been wrong. But I took that comment with a grain of salt for sure.

Mine resets by having it in run with the engine off and pushing OK on the left hand steering wheel spoke. I do it every time i change and rotate tires
