I drove a 2018 Tacoma TRD with a Diamondback SE for 4.5 years really enjoyed its design, and functionality . Couple days ago purchased a 2023 Mojave didn't measure bed side wall height but the Gladiator looks to be shorter but,not by much

One reason it stood out for me I could stand my Wavian 20L fuel cans and Wavian 20L water can upright.

Right now I'm trying to figure out if the Wavian can will stand up with the cover closed like my other one in the Tacoma.
Price for the DiamondBack is definitely a factor. And my question will help me decide whether to go for the Dback or say a trifold. If the can can't stand up I'm spending almost an additional thousand bucks for a feature not doable anymore.

I had a Diamondback SE on my Gladiator for over two years. I absolutely loved the lok, strength and versatility of the Diamondback. I was able to put my generator and water cans under the Diamondback, but only in certain parts of the bed, otherwise it interfered with the lid. It also kept me from installing the fist-clamps seen in your pics. I ran my rig side-side with my brother's Taco that was also equipped with a Diamondback. He was definitely able to fit taller items in his bed than I was. I ultimately switched to a RSI Smartcap - paid a heavy penalty in weight but greatly increased my bed volume.

Dakarra,thanks for the info.
The DiamondBacks are good I emailed Matt at DiamondBack and asked what the total weight of a complete assy for the Gladiator weighed he said, 80lbs.
So Since our payloads are so low that weight comes of the 1029lb payload stated on the truck sticker.
Not bad and since like you said those cans can't fit under cross member. On the Tacoma they sat under rear cover with the Gladiator if I pull the trigger on The DiamondBack my cans will sit under the front cover for better weight distribution. Good to know the Wavians will stand under certain parts.

Ordered a New DiamondBack SE last friday. Guess I have plenty of time to either tinker around and install some kind of shim material, I think the instructions call for some rubber shims I can fabricate and install those before the cover shows up. I also sourced some new bed rail covers just hate to spend anymore than I have too.

one thing I have to say DiamondBack, is one of few companies that offer Veterans savings for their prior service and that to me is extremely commendable.

Now the waiting begins.
