- A Gladiator with the Wrangler’s tow rating
I’d pick the Wrangler with a better tow rating. I like the bed, but I have a little pop up camper that was a bit of a workout for my JKU, but the JT pulls it fine. I’d just be more likely to want to grab a utility trailer in that scenario.
Utility of the bed for gear, kayaks, bikes etc. With the tonneau cover I have a lockable storage area during top and door off season. I also installed the bed rug which is perfect for my use.
Bed, because I don't have any fun toys to tow yet, and love having the bed for extra space for kid stuff. I'm also a bit of a weekend warrior/DIYer for projects around the house. Growing up my dad would say "you could always use a truck." He always had multiple vehicles, beaters for a long commute to work and some others for fun. His truck was a '72 green Chevy pickup with a wood bed, we mostly used to take around town to cut my family's lawns. I do miss those little windows up front I could turn in and out
