Well we sell between 300 and 400 diesel trucks a year once in awhile we will get an injector or fuel pump bad but 95% of all diesel truck issues are emissions related we sell mostly cummins trucks because they have way less issue's we won't buy duramx because if way to many issues. Some quality has slipped but the Cummins engine is still a great motor .if they could just figure out the emissions from clogging up the motors or get rid of it they definitely would be way more reliable

My 24V's are all still kicking but are showing their age. I don't think Dodge expected them to last this long.

Doubtful the JL/JT will see a factory installed diesel again and there is no way I would own a 3.6 so I hope mine are in it for the long haul.

Unless they change the emissions for diesels, the U.S. won't see anymore small diesel engines.

It would be nice if they ran

You're not kidding- everything else around it would fall apart but that motor would keep going.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the major issue with US regs for diesels that they're scored the same way as gas motors?

Everything that has been showing up in my feeds say it's a 7.2L for 2025.
No, the new Cummins engine won't be released until the 5th generation (2028). The 2025 is just a heavy refresh of the 4th gen truck.

"There is only one option as previously rumored. The HO is gone. The base engine is 430/1075 mated to a ZF Powerline with a column shifter. Grid heater is gone, replaced by glow plugs. Topside oil canister housing and both primary and secondary fuel canisters/filters mounted on the engine. There's a new combo DOC/SCR and EGR system."

A few new things:
Dual alternator package is now 400A or 480A, instead of the 380A or 440A.
3.42 rear end is back on the Cummins/ZF trucks.
DROWSY DRIVER DETECTION (XNM)
TRAFFIC SIGN RECOGNITION (SJB)
DUAL WIRELESS CHARGING PAD (CMS)
14.4" TOUCHSCREEN DISPLAY (RHZ)
ACTIVE LANE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (XNW)
NEXT GENERATION ENGINE CONTROLLER (NZD)
PEDESTRIAN/CYCLIST EMERGENCY BRAKING (LST)
