Good morning Gladiator fans,

I am in the process of gathering Gladiator spare rims for my rig. Eventually I want to have 5 black spare rims with Kenda Klevers mounted on them. Like the TFL build. I have picked up 4 spare rims from generous Gladiator owners and the final one is due to be delivered today. I was looking at the rims and noticed that one of them is not like the others :) One of the spares came from a Mojave. It is black but it has a different part number and a different offset. The sport spare rim is 17x7.5 with a 44.45 offset. The Mojave spare rim is 17x7.5 with a 37.17 offset. I will use the Mojave rim as the "spare" for this set until I can find another matching Sport spare rim with the correct offset. In the event that I have a flat and have to use the Mojave offset rim I shouldn't have any weird issues due to the different offset right? Maybe poke out a little further ?

Thanks,

greg

Greg, you will be fine using the different offset as a spare it is just over 1/4 inch difference. I wouldn't run it full time bit as a spare it will work.

Older post but do you have pics of your setup? Any issues with 35s on steel spare rims?

No problems whatsoever. I got the Kenda Klever 35x10.5 tires. Love them. Ride good, no noise, fit perfect. No lift either.

I have taken this setup to Uwharrie here in NC and had no issues with rubbing , etc... I have even towed my travel trailer with this setup with no issues.

Looks good! I started to do this but gave up because I could not find center caps. What did you use?

That's good information because a popular magazine wrote that the Mojave wheels have 1/2" less positive offset. Looks like that's actually 1/4" less positive offset, which is a total of 1/2" more track width.
