As long as its the same size you should be good but if you are using your old one as a doughnut that might cause some problems if you have a locker or lsd

I’m running Toyo RT 37’s on Warn Moonsault wheels but have a Patagonia 37” AT tire mounted on my steel wheel for the spare. Tire was cheaper that the RT’s by $100 plus another $260 had I bought a matching wheel.

I got my hands on a used set of 37x12.50x17 BFG KO2’s for cheap. I will attempt to mount on my steely spare 7.5” stock rim. The ko2’s run a tad smaller than other 37’s. I believe 36.5” diameter. With treads worn down a bit (but still some left) it should be barely under 36” which will fit perfectly fully aired up. I will report back. If it works I’ll have 2 extras for some of us. My coworker has spoken for one of the 3 remaining. Let me know if anyone wants one. I’m in DFW. I really don’t want to ship a used tire so if you are local let me know.
