I have the opportunity to pick up a factory e-locker for a really good price, and have been thinking through what it would take to swap it out.
If I am reusing my ring and pinion and only swapping the carrier, the only set up I would need to worry about would be adjusting carrier bearing spacers to correct left to right for, preload and backlash right? I shouldn’t have to make any changes to the pinion depth?
Please correct me if I’m wrong, I am a YouTube educated shade tree “mechanic” at best and have never done any axle work before.
