The only negative I have ever had with a discount tire is when I had my JKUR. I had them put 33s on the stock rims and without asking they installed cheap spacers. Didn't find that out until I was doing a tire rotation at home 5k miles later. Wheel spacers weren't listed on the receipt or ever mentioned, so I don't know what they decided it was a good idea.

So when I get tires on the Gladiator I will make sure to tell them and verify that I do not want wheel spacers.

If they are like Sam's Club, they won't install anything bigger than stock.
I know they will install 37's because Discount install my 37's on my Jeep even though they were used. I met the guy I was buying them from at the Discount tire and they unmounted them off his beadlocks and mounted them on my Jeep. That's also a plus for Discount, the fact that they will handle beadlocks when a lot of tire shops won't fool with them.

Some places still understand that Customer Service is what makes a repeat customer.

Other places think if they are a few $ cheaper they can act however they want.
True but I've never heard anything bad about Mavis and I've had a few sets of tires mounted on my BMW there and on my mustang. I'm not sure how Discount price match works but the guy was pretty stead fast on not matching the price, he even claimed that they were probably not new tires, which I thought was kind of out of line.

I was referring to Costco when I said "If they are like Sam's Club..."

I've had several non-stock size tires installed at Discount no problem. Agreed this is a big plus with them, I like dealing with Discount.

Discount tires has been by far a head in so many ways of customer service of other tire shops I’m not sure how any stay in business because of them. They price match too. Anytime I am looking for tires I go to the ends of the internets to find an advertised price and bring it in to them and they always beat it. I haven’t gone to another tire shop in over 15yrs now.

My only complaint about discount tire is that they really push to purchase the tire certificate warranties. They know me by name and I have purchased so many tires from them over the years that they don’t even ask me anymore and already know I decline that offer, but I’ll be in there and have to listen to their spill and they get so many customers to purchase it… They make a TON of money on these tire warranty sales. I just don’t believe in buying tire warranties. I wish they would get rid of it.

Other then that it’s the best place to purchase tires.

I used to agree because they were prorated based on tread life. However, now there is no prorate and it was so cheap, I couldn’t pass it up. Hell, my wife’s car would have paid for the certs on both vehicle the way she goes through tires. Lol

I'm on my 5th set of tire (for 4 vehicles) from them and 2 sets of wheels. I love the deals and brands they have. All I need is tires, and that what they do best. I like them much, here in Idaho.

I appreciate @Discount Tire They match prices I find. Even on Amazon. If you go through the forum here they do all the leg work. And they happily air you back up after obvious off roading. I will intentionally wheel near a Discount Tire and have used them to air up after. Even connected my sway bars in their air check lane much to the amusement of their techs.

@Discount Tire rules!

If you have any idea how to shop and buy things like Tires and Wheels you'll quickly realize @Discount Tire is one of the very best places to buy tires, wheels and installation.

@Discount Tire has done both my trucks with great success. The store here on Power Road in Mesa, AZ led by Joel and his team will out-service and out-perform anyone if you give them a chance.

I've had fantastic experience with Costco. Great prices, free tire rotation, free snow tire change, free road hazard insurance, excellent service.

Though they don't have tires above 285/70-17s.
Thanks for adding your Costco experience to a thread about Discount Tire

Twice they said they couldn't match the price so far. One quote i got off here for tires I took to Mavis and they beat the price by $250. I took their quote back to the Concord store and they said they couldn't match it. Not sure. I'm not knocking their customer service but their prices are a little higher. I wish Sears was still around, the one in Concord, nobody could beat their price on tires, but Mavis in Concord has been pretty close.

We got your point the first time you bashed @Discount Tire and you've certainly shown yourself to be an unhappy non @Discount Tire customer :asshat:
