Display keeps dialing my phone

I have a 2000 Mojave Gladiator. When I plug my phone in, sometimes the display shows an incoming call which happens to be my phone number (I’m in my contacts). So the system is calling the phone I just connected by charging cable. It happened to me today 8 times. My call log on my phone shows no calls to me so it is not my phone but the electronics in my Jeep. I keep canceling the call and the display shows an incoming call from me over and over again. Does this happen to anyone else? The dealer made sure all updates are current but it keeps happening. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

I’m not going to bust your chops over the frequency of my bathing or how nice it would be to get a little gift once in a while. But did you know that pushing air through that cabin filter is like blowing a carp through a straw? That’s really why I’m calling Debrah. It’s been three years and my interior is going to smell like the rotting carcass of a dead whale if you don’t help me out there soon. I mean, we’re partners right?

I saw in a movie once this is how someone on the other side tried communicating. It almost took the duration of the whole movie for the person receiving the messages to figure it out.

When projection is turned on and your using one of the services IE; Navigation, messages, ect.. it will do this.

This is how some radio/phones communicate. Anytime i send a voice note while in my work truck (2020 silverado) it acts as if its a phone call to/from my number. Nothing to worry about.

Same issue for me too. I was using a Samsung Z-flip 3 without issue, changed to a Z-flip 4 and the issue started. Went back to the Z-flip 3, issue went away. It's something with the phone. So I have a new Z-flip 4 that I don't use. Guess I should sell it.

If I try to answer the call it just goes away but calls me right back. I press cancel and it just calls me right back. I don’t hear a ring because it’s not the phone calling me. I just see it pop up on the display. (I have a typo on the year, it’s a 2020.)

but I’m not doing anything with my phone. It just randomly displays an incoming call from myself. It’s anoying and my warranty is up in November. If there is a fix I’d like to get it done.

Try unpairing your phone, then pair a different phone. I bet it won't do this with a different phone.

there’s no fix, that’s just how the systems interact.

I’ll check mine when I get home from work to be sure. I hardly plug my phone in.

Are you using an Android phone or an iPhone? I recall someone with an Android phone had the same issue but I do not recall if it was solved, and was it the in-dash entertainment system or the Android smartphone. While l I have been humored by helping people out with a lot of Android issues, I tend to think this issue is in the entertainment system. I could make a few suggestions but rather than take you off on a tangent, surely someone will Reply with a correct solution. I might consider deleting, and re-adding the phone but just wait to see if someone provides a solid solution.

** Have you Powered down the phone, and then Restarted it? You already had dealer do some updates/checking but perhaps it is a problem on the smartphone side where an App has not closed out correctly. Try a Power-Restart of the phone. I'd recommend the JEEP is also "off" at this time in case your phone is nearby. Get the phone restarted, then approach the JEEP and start it up as you would normally, along with enterntainment system ON, and then see if anything changed between these two devices.

Remark - Goofball quips can often be annoying and not helpful but I must say, the levity of Speedballs response I think was really great.
