Hey guys,
So I am wanting to install my amplifier under the passenger seat. I ran the wires there and have a plan in place.
I wanted to make a mount with risers for the amplifier for 3 purposes.
1. To have something sturdy to affix the amp
2. Clear the floor mat
3. Clear the floor ac/heater vent (somewhat)
I’ll show you finished pics up top and then the process.
Step 1 was finding a good small sheet of plastic. Asked my dad for ideas and my mom chimed in ”a cutting board!” Perfect idea.
Small and cheap. $5 at Big Lots.
After that I measured, drilled my holes and test fit.
The board was a little wide so I had to trim about 1 1/2” off. I know. It’s very crooked and janky
Be thankful for your workbenches and powertools gentleman. Apartment life is rough.
After test fitting, all looked good, I hit my spacers and board with some leftover spray bedliner I had. I attached my hardware and voila! Not very elegant but hey. It works and checks all my boxes.
Here it is from under the seat. That floor vent tube at least kinda goes under. Before it was blasting right at the side of the thing.
Anyway, hope it helps and inspires someone to improve on the idea! Haha
