.... so what’s your excuse for not wheeling ?
DAMN SKIPPY!!

NOTHING PERSONAL YO!!
You're absolutely right. I should have chilled a little more but the OP sounded kinda accusatory toward someone who doesn't use their truck the way he thinks they should. That's really who/what I was responding to. Thanks for the reminder.

Citrus WMA is about an hour south of Ocala. It’s just outside of Inverness. They’ve got a lot of trails. I always take the main trail that leads to the campgrounds and then just randomly pick out trails as I come across them. Just be cautious because a few of the trails do dead end at fences where they meet the main roads. I prefer Citrus over Ocala NF because of the variety of trails offered.
Thank you for the information. I am only 27 miles from there. Just moved here recently from Tampa/St Pete area. Going to check it out soon.

We bought our first Overland JT last year to have a convertible truck, but took an Offroading 101 class with our son who wanted his own Jeep and found we both really enjoy the rock crawl experience and community. Now I drive a JTR and my wife has her own JLUR and we go wheeling as frequently as we can. We even bought a camper we pull so we can camp and wheel all weekend.

I'm all for people using their Jeeps however makes them happy though. Until someone else is paying your note, you get to decide what you do with your own JT. That capability is what makes the Jeep thing so cool.

Went to Hidden Falls Adventure Park with some friends. We did easy to moderate trails.

Have to say that the first time, I felt nervous and sometimes scared; didn't wanna messed up something, because I was driving it back. Didn't brought my brown pants (Deadpool quote). I only tested the suspension and articulations when Tank Customs @TTEChris, installed 2 years ago.

Now, I can't wait to go back and do it all over again and add new trails.

I wheel all the time but with my JK which is set up for moderate to hard wheeling in rock. The Gladiator will probably see some trails in December but they are not going to be real hard core.

When I want to be stupid (which is usually once a month), the Jk goes on the trailer and I'll wheel that and hopefully not break it.

just got back from the Maine Jeep Jamboree and out of 170 Jeeps there were maybe 5 JTs and of those 2 were stock (which is fine I guess). So I am curious do you actually wheel ? The JT is a great platform for it. The longish wheelbase makes some turns tight and you’ll squeeze your fenders here and there but you don’t get stuck in the 2 door holes. Also the wheelbase is great on ledges and steep ups. it was impressive to see what the JT could clear obstacle wise. so what’s your excuse for not wheeling ?
HA HA, You are dead on point with this post. JT's make a horrible DD, however, they make a fantastic recreational vehicle. I know everyone has their "Ideal Use" for whatever vehicle they buy/purchase, but 1st of all, the JT is JEEP, not a Pickup. Yeah you can throw a couple things in the mini bed and call it a truck, but its a jeep 1st. and to all the owners out there showing off your Rubber duck collection on your Dash, save your wave. I like it when I find JT owners with a scratch or a dent, I ask them, "what trail did you get that on"? I'll never ask what parking lot you got a Duck in. So, Cheers to Off Road JT's and their owners! Lets see some Trail pics now......

We explore the great outdoors, and don’t let mild/moderate obstacles get in our way. We look at it like having a boat or play toy, that we can enjoy anytime of the year. We aim for scenery, uniqueness, and unadulterated areas. We want to go to secluded places, and where there isn’t a crap ton of man made distractions. We will often seek areas that require 4wd, clearance, and/or flex, but we’re not looking to tear things up ( and there’s not a ton of skill with mud ). A few light scratches are part of it, but we want to have a good looking, drivable Jeep when our weekend is done. Ours have gone places that we previously would have never tried, and we’re in no hurry to go zero-to-hero. Some day we may drive through rocks/brush with impunity, but that’ll be ( hopefully) many years in the future.

The mojave had less than 400 miles on it when we took it out 2 weeks ago. Mostly forest service roads as it was a day trip. It is a blast to toss around corners sideways at 50mph in the dirt though. It will get it's 1st desert rated testing Thanksgiving weekend while we are camping in the desert it was named after. As far as rock crawling, we use the wife's JLUR on 39s for that. Ran John Bull, gold mountain, and Holcomb creek without so much as stepping out to spot in late September. Right tool for the right job so to speak. What's better than 1 Jeep? His and hers.
