If BMW can make it so the setting is remembered after a restart, why can't Jeep? It's just silly that I have to hit that button every time I start the truck.
Defaulting to on at every startup is a government requirement in order for Jeep to get the CAFE credits for installing it.

:headbang:
Yeah it was... Still ridiculous. Very happy that requirement went away. I'm sure it's only an election away from coming back but at least 25-28 model year vehicles are safe from that

I think you have the same uconnect 4 screen and this is how it is supposed to work for you:

.....

One thing you may make sure is that your uconnect is the latest version. I upgraded mine from the 7" to 8.4" and when I did I upgraded it to the newest firmware. From what I read it fixed a lot of bugs but I never used it with the older version.
I'll have to read up on updating it. My philosophy with electronics to not mess with what's working. For my truck, both the girls love connecting to the vehicle and when they both do it, the radio keeps switching from phone to phone as they make noise. I usually kill the radio and just drive in silence as their phone beep and boop or make stupid tik-tok dance videos

LOL. I get that. Here is the upgrade I followed should you want to try:

I also did check on the management I was referring to. You can change the settings for phones that have already synced with the Projection Manager:

If you uncheck "Enable Android Auto" it will not allow the phone to display. I would guess there is a similar carplay setting if it is an iPhone, but I don't have any. Maybe this will keep the girls' phones out of the system. :like:
