Does spare have a tps sensor?

Does anyone know if the spare comes with a tps sensor? If not can you add one to do 5 tire rotations and it read it?

Not certain. Will only know when and if I get a flat tire and I then have to put that spare on. But I believe it should at that time. I traded my Jeep Renegade for my Gladiator. And I had a full size spare with a tire pressure sensor on it and it did work when I had a flat. So I trust that my Gladiators spare’s sensor should also work when I have a flat.

I bought a spare Rubicon rim with the TPMS to replace the steel spare and do a 5 tire rotation. Put it on the JT and it reads it fine.

How did you test that it is reading properly. Let the air out?

I aired down last weekend and back up reads just fine checked against a good pressure gauge.

Good news, where did you order the TPMS sensor from? I have a wheel, but need a sensor

It came with the rim I bought. Another guy bought a set of Rubicon take offs and split the set. You should be able to buy a sensor anywhere, just be sure you get the right frequency.

You can get them at most tire shops - Since they have to break the tire / wheel bead(seal) . I had ordered a set of schrader sensors from amazon to match freq - worked great. Spare won't pick up on TPMS till it is mounted at one of the 4 wheel locations. This keeps any confusion on tire pressure on functional wheels.

And Mopar are self identifying - if they match the freq - they pick it up. one of reasons you can throw take off wheels / tires from another jeep they will sync up.
