As said its based on ATT. I have absolutely no ATT coverage at my house so its of no use. I already carry both an ATT (First Net) and Verizon phone so no need for it in the Jeep. I do see value as my work truck has a Sierra Wireless Modem with vehicle mounted antenna. Still it only gives me 1/4 mile more than my cell in areas I loose it on my phones.

Does the wife hotspot give you internet when your cell dosnt have service? Like is it through a satellite, so your constantly connected? I called uconnect and they just could not mentally process what I was asking.
All the "wifi" hotspot in vehicles is is a SIM card that is permanently wired to your car/jeep/whatever. If you don' t have phone service you won't have a wifi hot spot either. the only thing that would work would be local connections i.e. other phones or tablets connected to the same wifi hotspot.
