Dog setup…

So I run with two Ruffland XL kennels in the back of the JK and they’d have to transfer to the JT bed with an undecided bed cap.

does any have dogs in the bed? How are set up? Would they work on those slide systems? Is there a cap that will butt up to the truck to get some air through?

Also, I can’t get a good image of the factory rock slider/optional hand grab on the 23. Can someone reply with an image? I’m not feeling the other steps.

I have my Brittany in a kennel in the bed of my Sport S. As I live in the PNW, I have a canopy- a RLD canopy with sliding windows on the side. It also comes with a top vent that supposedly provides overpressure to keep dust out of the enclosed bed- never tried it.

As I have only 1 dog, my kennel is carabiner clipped to the rail points to be secure. Was rear ended shortly after getting my gladiator.

This setup works well for my 4 dogs. Two 70 pounders ride on the CargoDog platform where I removed the rear seats. Two 120 pounders ride in the bed on a cushioned rubber bed mat covered by a bed rug. Replaced the cap slider window screens with homemade webbing for canine retention. Between the front and back seats, I installed a Dirty Dog webbing net to keep my friends in back and to prevent them from becoming projectiles in case of a crash. This set-up works great for my pack and for the many dogs I transport for the rescues with which I work.
