Well THATS interesting! I will pay attention and see what happens. I have to pump it on long trips (3-4 hours) but I guess getting out for gas, pit-stops, etc comes onto play. Thanks!

Problem solved. It was my butt tapping the lever. Paid close attention and the problem went away. Now if I can just turn it into a habit.

I don’t see how anyone can be touching the lever while seated unless you are really really wide and very very heavy! Even then, it is mechanical, not air or hydraulic. Therefore, it would only lower sightly ( like one pump) , not leak down. I think it is a defect in some seats. Similar to the steering issue.....some have it and some don’t. And don’t say “it’s a Jeep thing”! Lol.
Yes I had steering problems on our JT : fixed one year later. Now I'm ready for a fix on the seat lever.
