Has anyone modified their factory driver's seat to adjust a couple inches back for more leg room? I have an Oscar Mike edition and the seats are pretty decent, but I could use just a little more leg room. I'd also consider a completely different upgraded seat for more comfort. Thanks for any feedback.

Yes. You're looking for seat extensions. Read more here https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/gladiator-drivers-seat.33664/

Awesome. Just what I was looking for. The price is kinda crazy, but at least there's an option. I'm going to explore alternatives.

I installed them about a month ago; it transformed my driving experience. Just pay attention to the inseam/product recommendations.

As far as I'm aware, your Freedom is based off of the Sport trim, not Sport S...as that's what my window sticker shows.

I'm actually confused what exactly you have there, as your bed rock rails are missing...did you remove them?

I’m 6’5”. I’d really like more leg room.

I got to sit in a gladiator at a dealer that had that extended seat installed. It did indeed provide more legroom… however it also moved my head back where my eyes were in the middle of the b pillar. I felt driving was dangerous like that. A quick glance for traffic to the left always forced me to lean Forward or back to see around the pillar. My peripheral vision was hosed.

6' 6" checking in here. I installed the Misch Big Boy brackets from https://www.quadratec.com/p/misch-4x4/big-boy-seat-bracket-jeep-wrangler-jl-unlimited-gladiator-jt

Ended up removing them after a week. They added a ton more room, but they raised the seat up so that in a lot of sitting positions I was bonking my head on the center bar behind me. I did some measuring and I only was able to go bout about an inch from the furthest factory point before hitting my head. Sucks because these brackets allow you to go WAY back.

It also raised the seat a little bit too much for me. Cool concept, but didn't work for me personally

I too tried the misch seat brackets but it raised me too high.
Over in the DIY section, I followed this thread and successfully modded my seat to add a few inches without raising the seat at all.

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/big-boy-factory-seat-adaption.27136/#post-793039

I ended up buying an extra seat frame as a “just in case” but didn’t end up needing it. Still would be willing to sell it as an insurance if someone is considering this mod.

The guy that did my lift and some other work removed them when he mounted the side steps. Shouldn't have? I have an Oscar Mike Edition

No, they protect your bed when dropping onto a rock.

Yeah, I think the shop was run by a bit of an idiot or street-jeeper. I'm pissed he didn't put them in my truck bed when I picked the truck up from being worked on. Basically stole them from me.

Then, I'm pretty sure your JT is a Sport, not a Sport S. I believe they only make the Freedom based from the Sport trim. I wasn't sure about it at first either, since most aftermarket parts suppliers don't have Freedom as a trim level to choose from. Someone on here told me that it is listed on the window sticker, showing it as a Sport.

Ok. Thanks for clarifying.

Power windows, power locks, and 7 inch screen would make it a sport S. Without those, it's a sport. The "S" is the power stuff, leather wrapped steering wheel, tinted windows, and standard 7 inch screen. The freedom has all the power stuff, so it's an "S"

Actually all the stuff is power and wheel is leather also leather/cloth mix on seats with Oscar Mike on them, and tinted front windows. Also metal Rubicon front bumper with removable end pieces.
