Started installing my extra lighting!!!!

More Diode Dynamics of course!!!

The big Voswitch setup as well.

Just wanted to get everything mounted up today.

Going to get into the wiring tomorrow.

Rugged Ridge Arcus prerunner bar is a weird size. Had to use Diode Dynamics 2" roll bar mounts and pad it with some thick heat shrink to add enough bulk to clamp. I had 1.75" on hand and they wouldnt work at all. Go figure, lol

Finished wiring up my Voswitch and all the Diode Dynamics lights.

Still have to program everything, and put some stickers on the buttons. Only using 3 relays. Driving lights, amber backlights, and cowl lights. I'll take some pics of the wiring. It came out ok, I rushed through most of it. I may redo a little bit of it.

Light output is pretty ridiculous now. Still have to aim everything properly.

Last pic is my hood all the way up, I wanted the lights tucked in. I didnt want to lose the ability to put the hood all the way to the windshield. So I got them as close as I could without touching!

Im hoping to use the overrider bar mounted SS2 lights as driving lights, but Im not sure if the SAE flood side is going to blind oncoming. Gotta do more testing/aiming, I dont want to be that guy, lol.

Shiz, gotta top off WW fluid tomorrow, so I'll try to snag a few pics.

Gotta say, the functionality of the Voswitch is pretty awesome. Lots of little programming and stuff to customize. Quite a bit more to it then just a relay system. Holds memory too, so I just tap power and whatever I had on prior, comes right back on.

Hopefully it lasts. I'm an industrial/commercial union electrician, who works on experimental technology none the less. So I've worked on all sorts of stuff from the 70's to now. Big budget custom, slapped together quick experiments, old/new tech integration, hack bullcrap, and everything in between. Which gives me a great sense towards judging quality of components and potential shortcomings.

The Voswitch checks a lot of boxes. Gaskets, fitment, connector styles, user interface. For the money, its pretty decent. I dont have any real gripes, which is a bit shocking, lmao

Its not perfect, but it's pretty complete, and so far, it works. Lol

I should upload some pics, but too lazy.

Replaced windshield
Installed Exoshield

Exoshield doesnt play nice with polarized glasses/sunglasses. You get some rainbow swirly effects. Which kinda sucks. Nobody mentions that, lol. Install was a breeze, hopefully it works as intended, anything is better than nothing though, lol

Right front shock is leaking. Wtf jeep, 40k miles and an oem shock is leaking. Not thrilled about that. Ugh

Had a couple of issues with 1st/reverse today. Havnt driven the jeep since tuesday. Hydraulics seem fine, feel like an mechanical lockout. Tried to get under there with inspection mirror to look for nuts/debris from rodents. Really hard to get a view. Going to pull out the bore scope and look at some point. Really weird.

Found a hood corrosion spot.

Well thats poo poo. Not a great thing to notice at 40k miles on a 2023 MY.

Overall, Jeep has let me down some. You pay out the ass for a sub par assembly.

Ugh, looks like im just going to replace all 4 shocks with something better. Not going to throw 4 more shitty red OEM shocks on.

Lifting the JT isnt really in the cards right now. Between the lift, tires, regearing, it's a ton of money even with me doing all the installing myself.

So im going to be an adult and hold out till probably next year.

Been having issues shifting into R, 1st, and sometimes 5th. So I replaced all the hydraulics just to rule them out.

These are OEM JK hydraulics adapted by Centerforce to work with JL/JT clutches. They feel stiffer, a bit less overall pedal travel, and release is a bit higher off the floir than previous.

Feels great! Didnt solve the issue, but rules out hydraulics, so Im moving on to look at the shifter mechanisms directly.

Heres the thread on the JL forums.
