I’m looking to get some new tires for my gladiator.
I had duratracs on my Jk wrangler for maybe 6 years. Over 60,000 miles.
I was happy with them, but toward the end of their life they were terrible in wet weather.

Does anyone have any experience with this new version the RT-LT?

I only go off road maybe once a year. Mostly the beach, or dirt trails. No real wheeling.

I really like the look of the duratracs and I was very happy with their performance in the rain and now. Except once we got
Past maybe 40,000 miles on them they got slick in the rain.

I’m open to other tire options too. I enjoy the aggressive look of the duratracs while they were still relatively quiet on the road.

I do have a concern now that I’m in the gladiator the back end since it’s a truck will be a little loose in the rain. Is that any real concern?

I have been happy with Falken AT3W but recently put Kumho AT52 on my Ram. Both are mountain/snowflake rated. An y tire loses some of its capability as it wears. I don't try to get the last bit of wear out of them as performance and safety are more important to me.

I’ve had the Duratrac’s in the past and now the RT’s on a work truck (Ram 1500) and my Gladiator diesel. Great in the snow and rain, not very noisy and great price point. I went with the 10ply for towing and aren’t too stiff running them at 38psi.

Yeah, you run any of these tires to 60k miles, they are going to suck every which way. And you are right about the 40k point as well. They all get louder and less effective after 40k. I think if you get a set that is solid up to and slightly over 40k miles, I'd consider that to be pretty darn good. With that being said, I've owned several sets of Duratracs and love them. Currently running Toyo open country R/T since Duratracs don't come in 37s. They are a solid set of tires. I've used them in light snow, rain and desert out here in the west. They don't get as good a mileage as Duratracs, are louder after 40k and will not make it to 50k. I'm at 43k miles and am in the process of looking for a new set. Probably won't make it to 45k on my specific set. I know I've gotten a bit more out of all my Duratracs, but they weren't 37s either.

I've ran 4 sets of duratracs well past 40k, 2 sets over 80k, worked quite well in snow up till the last year. The 80k sets were load range e on a Ram 2500 diesel.
