@hjdca So you’ve had it a year now. How would you rate it? I’m getting tired of cleaning dust out of the bed, but I also like the functionality of keeping crap in the bed from getting in the space between the bed and the tailgate.
It works to keep the dust out and it is a nice piece of rubber. Make sure it fits tightly against the edges of the bed.
The only issue is that, after a while, the rubber gets folded and stuck in the bottom of the tailgate and makes it harder to close. Once the rubber gets creased, then, it gets stuck in the bottom of the tailgate almost every time. This is how mine is now. This can be avoided if you watch it when you close the tailgate.
Overall, I am glad I bought it and I would buy it again. We are in the dirt a lot, and It does keep the dust off all the tools on my Molle Panels -- which is a huge, huge plus.

Something like this looks like a good option. There are lots of different products that fit the bill with a google search of "tailgate gap filler" Cheers!

tailgate gap cover

This Gapshield will prevent small matter from falling through the gap but WONT STOP THE DUST. I got my Gladiator 3 weeks ago. We live in beautiful Namibia and driving gravel roads is a norm. I experienced the dust problem and investigated. Stand in the bed of you gladiator and observe either ends of the bed corners where the tailgate closes looking down. You will notice a very large gap that will not be covered the the Gapshield rubber in its current form. Again with the gate closed observe a large gap laterally on either side where the tailgate does not close flush with the bed. If you follow that gab it leads you the the larger uncovered gap below.

Anybody observe the same or has solution ?

Diamondback cover FTW. Nuff said. Nothing in my bed but what I want to be in there. Off-roading or whatever.

Not sure about that gap area mentioned. All I know is I don't have dust, water, or anything in mine. In all conditions.

I had BAK Revolvers on my 17' and 21' Silverado and both were dust funnels, the 21' was WAY worse though with the split tailgate. I just left it rolled up most of the time unless I needed to cover something. I just installed a Bestop cover on the JT and I live on a dirt road so I will see in about 3 hours how bad it is. lol.

Yes, I know what you mean. I have the Rugged Ridge Armis folding tonneau cover, line-x bedliner, and molle panels with quik fist supporting all my gear. I still get fine dust in the back of the bed from 4wheeling. Just the back 1 foot or so of the bed. I just use my air compressor or my masterblaster to blow it out from the back of the bed when I get back. It is only very fine dust that can get in, so, it seems very easy to blow out. I have no idea how it gets in, but, I do not think it is coming in from the tonneau cover...
Me too. I have the OEM soft toneau and get dust about 1' into the bed.

Update. Definitely letting dust in. Going to try a tailgate seal and see what happens.

I did a tailgate seal and things improved, but I still get more dust in the bed than I ever got in my old Ram pickup with no tailgate seal. I think there is some weird low pressure phenomenon happening that sucks it in wherever it can.

I have a truck…it gets dust in the bed under my tonneau….its a truck……
I used to have a BMW M and looking back it was tedious always wondering about scratches, dust, bugs, etc.
So after I got the JT I decided to enjoy everything and let the little cars things go.
