Well folks, I completely deleted my 2021 3rd Gen Ecodiesel Wrangler and added a Banks aluminum intake manifold, AFE charge pipes, S&B cold air intake, The Diesel Dudes tune and exhaust, and a few other goodies from Dirty Diesel. It is running great! But the oil change reveals how clean it runs now! WOW! Two photos, one with a clean dip stick and one after 200 miles cleaner than expected. Let me know what your thoughts are.

I’d say that’s pretty impressive!

I bought mine early last year and sat on it for a while until I had everything I needed. With that being said, I don't believe Banks is offering it anymore. You could always call them. I have seen some on Ebay for around $800.

You have an ADD W1 catch can? Doesn’t throw any codes/CEL for it? Could not get mine to not throw a code? Went with the EOC after messing with it for weeks.

I did at first but then adjusted the length of the hoses to make them as short as I could and I believe that helped adjust for pressure and or volume and it stopped.

That’s awesome. Doesn’t that also help with the towing overheating issues?

I would assume so. I don't tow anything with mine yet. I have reached out to Banks to see if there Pedal Commander and monitoring unit will work with my Diesel Dudes tune. Because the exhaust is free flowing heat should be removed easier.

I don't believe pedal commander will work with tune. Thanks for info on intake, on the hunt now.

No worries. Any questions you have along the way shoot them my way. The install isn't as bad as a lot of folks make it out to be. Take your time and be light handed with the plastic clips. Also, I recommend ordering new intake gaskets from your local parts store. OEM fits the Banks.

my GDE tune and pedal monster seem to play nice.
Ohhhh,, wow. Okay. Diesel Dudes got back to me today and said that the banks bundle would over write their tune on the ECM and do not recommend. 🤔 Maybe they are guessing.... I feel like the pedal monster only recalibrate the throttle input.

THe banks stuff just modifies signal inputs as I understand it. If you have had a proper flashed ecu, aka the EEPROM re written with new data tables, a good tuner is going to write lock the ecu (aka change the password) so others can't pull their tune, get their info and resell the orginal tuners work as their own work. That is the reason for all the cloak and dagger stuff, the sending of the ecu, and use of proprietary ecu reading/writting tools like power gate and ezlink. These tools phone into tuner managment software to get the secreat handshakes the tuner setup.

Without these secret hand shakes/passwords the only thing you can do is a forced reflash using dealer tools (maybe?) or modifying signals to trick the ecu into doing something.

If you already have modifiyied tables from a tune and you try to run a banks deringer (ecu tool) it will cause issues because it will modify signal inputs that throw off what was tuned. The banks is programed to adjust base signals, for instance if base tune needs 5000psi fuel the deringer tell the ecu it's only getting 4000psi so the ecu compensates and gives and extra 1000psi, but if your tune is set to give the ecu 6000psi as base and now the deringer is saying give another 1000psi, you are over fueling.

the pedal monster is the same as far as i can tell. if your ecu has been tuned for a fast reaction throttle by wire setting adding a peddle monster will make the reaction even faster. for my use i have turned down my peddle monster setting and run city now and not sport since my tune reduced throttle delay.

I would suggest talking to banks if their product will screw up a tune, the tech support is actually pretty good.

What your saying makes since to me. I believe that is what Banks was trying to say.
