I know that. I was apart of that thread. I am looking for a substantial, non-superficial reason. But there isnt any at this point for these vehicles.Already covered in a very long thread about it a few months ago......... it obviously matters to some since most vehicles in recent years have such things.
It shouldn’t be that hard to create a mold from one, then know some sweet ones out using fiberglass or carbon fiber. I’d then either do away with the lettering entirely, or make it say JTR 3.6, or similar.Make two please!![]()
White oak would really be expensive.out of plywood? that's a luxury mod
Oak plywood???? Oh, i see, this is an independently wealthy club (I clearly don't belong here)...![]()
Probably just shipping costs. But maybe sell it on eBay and you'll have higher pricing...what is the going rate for one, i will totally sell mine. lol
I bought a bunch of pre-finishet cabinet grade 3/4 maple plywood to re-do my closets a year ago, and haven't gotten to it yet. i'm fairly certain it's worth more than my 401k now.HAHA, I wish.
The rough-sawn oak I got "free" because I was standing at a steam engine demonstration back in the 1990s where a steam powered saw mill was taking oak logs and cutting them down for lumber. I asked, the guy said - free samples. (and my truck was handy) Damn that stuff is HEAVY. I wish I would have grabbed some of the walnut they were sawing into planks. I really could be rolling in the bucks.
I salvage stuff....... can't stand to throw things away. You'll see me on a future episode of "Hoarders".
On the serious side - thank gawd the plywood was bought when it was about 30 bucks a sheet, I think I bought some of that 20 or so years ago. Man, I'd hate to even buy a scrap piece of that stuff now. Glad i saved it all these years.
I guess I could consider it my retirement savings! HA, wonder if I can start cashing it in at the bank? The last plain plywood I bought for a project was 70 bucks a sheet! That's more than DOUBLE what I had paid for that oak plywood all those years ago. I don't even want to ask what the oak would cost today...... over 100?????
Maybe time to ebay some of the scraps!
I didn’t know asking the same question twice was sacrilegious. If people searched before posting this forum would have 50 threads MAX. ??

There is no winning this. People bitch when you post a common asked before question and then they bitch when a newbie bumps a necro dormant thread on the same subject.I didn’t know asking the same question twice was sacrilegious.![]()
i was just being stupid. Id sell/give to friend but i wouldnt actively be selling something so trivial.Probably just shipping costs. But maybe sell it on eBay and you'll have higher pricing...
