Aux was replaced a year ago. The start stop worked for a couple months then stopped. Since I dont like the idea of the start stop I just ignored it. Only replaced the aux with it being under warranty going to the dealership for the fuel pump recall anyways.
My s/s quits working every time my cam sensor acts up (even if there isn't a CEL on). Might be the cause of your s/s failing with a new aux battery since youve joined the cam sensor club.

Almost any engine malfunction can do that - with no message other than "not ready".
Not all engine issues will set the MIL. Some misfires won't set the light.
The only way to know is to go in deep and read the codes that may be stored.

But in short - you may be onto something.

Well Ive been 11 repair attempts in. Every time my s/s quit working when I had the cel until jeep "fixed" it and cleared the codes. One fateful day they did the big fix and cut the harness and soldered in a new cam sensor. From that day for the next probably 5 months I didn't have a cel but my s/s wasn't working at all. I told the engineer I think they effed up when they soldered in my new plug but I must have insulted him with my nonengineering degree'd smooth brain suggestion. Well behold I got them to check the resistance on the cam sensor and viola it was the cause of the problem with no cel lighting up. Another exploratory surgery on my wiring harness and its running...meh. has a really cool sound when it starts now tho, been waiting for my next visit to the repair shop.... what a P.O.S.

Hi everyone,

Is this TSB a repair that should be made proactively, or only if we get the error?

The TSB itself says "customers must experience a malfunction indicator lamp (mil) illumination and the vehicle must exhibit/set the following diagnostic trouble code (dtc): ● P0341 - camshaft position sensor - performance bank 1 - sensor 1."

I had some symptoms like this once, but I cleared the fault code without writing down what it was. So, the truck didn't want to shift in all the gears, several dash lights came on, but after shutting down and re-starting, it hasn't happened again. It's been 6,000 more miles and it hasn't happened.

If I take my truck to the dealer and have them do this TSB, without the CEL actively showing, will they be able to 'fix' the wiring harness? Or will they only fix it if the CEL is on?

Should I just drive the truck like normal, and hope the error never happens again? Or try to be proactive and get the wiring harness 'fixed'?

Thank you :)

TSBs are for "if the customer experiences" - a how to fix it document.
You don't go in assuming that's the issue unless things line up.

You will end up paying someone to go through any possible cause and check it out - but if there's nothing to fix, to what end?
You don't know if you have a wiring harness issue.

Ever since I wrapped and relocated the cam sensor wire harness as described in a previous post with the heat proof wrap I have not had any cel at all, I have even installed the Add W1 catch can and still no codes. I think relocating and heatproofing and or making it more resistant to electronic interference is the fix and apparently Add W1 finally got the back pressure right to keep the cel light off. If it comes on anymore I will report back but so far the far-out eco gladiator is happy and averages 22.1 mpg daily driving. Just bought a set of 392 takeoffs today and we'll see what this does for the mpg.

Thanks for this information. How long have you now had the Wires rerouted and protected?

I just had TSB done by local dealer and it did not fix the problem. They also replaced the sensor. They are now clueless so there is no point to bring it back to them.

I’ve noticed the fault code is only triggered just after start up when I’ve turned the steering wheel slightly in the first couple of seconds. Since I havent been doing that, it hasnt come back on….but I’ll give it a few more months before I’m totally convinced thats it.

Sending in an update about my 2023 Galdiator Willys 3.0 eco diesel. Had the dealer do the TSB the first week of Nov 2025 and have not had any CEL since. Prior to the fix I would get a CEL every couple days and then it would turn off a couple days later. I am optimistic but also know that weather temps in Utah have cooled now that we are in winter season so will not know for sure how well the fix will work until we get back into the hot season again. I assume that temps under the hood are cooler in the winter compared to summer so time will tell.

Finished up this evening. Ended up using 1/4, 3/8 and 1 inch diameter heat shielding to do the wiring harnesses shown
Ever since I wrapped and relocated the cam sensor wire harness as described in a previous post with the heat proof wrap I have not had any cel at all,
I've been experiencing the CEL and P0341 code intermittently over the past year that I've owned my '23 Gladiator. More so lately though. I get the CEL after starting it, but do not experience any engine/operational issues. When I check with my OBD reader, I find the P0341 code. The CEL disappears the next time or two at startup, but recently it's been after a few times of usage. (I never took note if I moved the steering wheel during these startups times, but am doing so now.) At present I do not have the CEL, as it turned off a couple starts ago.

Hubbie and I are going to do the TSB # 08-099-25, since I'm over 3 yrs now on my warranty. I just ordered the twisted pair overlay. Those of you who have done this before, do you have any tips for us when we do this ourselves? TIA.

I wish there was a video of this, but I haven't found one in all my searches on the internet. It might take a couple weeks to get around to this, after I get the part, so we'll see how it goes.

Sorry, I cant help with your question.
One of our gladiators spits that code whenever I turn the steering wheel imediately after starting. My thought is, do I want to bother with an overlay, or do I just let it idle for a few extra seconds before I start off. I chose the latter. Sometimes I forget and it pops up, but its off again after 3 starts (or I clear it) so no big deal.
