I had an issue on my gladiator and was trying to reach out for advice but I did not realize the thread was limited on word count, so I renamed the thread.
I unfortunately got too deep in water and the truck is non responsive. I was reading a few threads on this but thought it might be worthwhile to ask for feedback
I am fortunate that the truck stalled and saved itself from damage. My next step is to check the fuses and remaining 5 cylinders. We checked one cylinder and there was some water droplets but no standing water. Cylinder walls looked fine. Currently we cannot connect to the ECU to read the VIN or any errors. Dash says to put foot in brake and press start but is non responsive and all PRND lights are lit up.
I drained the oil and a gallon of water came out. Refilled with new oil.
The engine has not been restarted since it stalled. I want to check fuses, and try to see if that will allow me to talk to the ECU. ECU was not submerged in water.
Side note, this was not salt water, just standing water that I didn’t realize had a crater and my passenger tire went in.
