So, all these lights come on randomly now. In two wheel drive, the ESC comes on, if its in 4WD, the Sevice 4 Wheel Drive light accompanies the ESC light and ABS lights. If I'm in 4 Lo, the Down hill descent will sometimes engages, and that is a problem while out on the trails. There are no codes, everything resets if I shut it down for a few minutes. Sometimes it returns instantly (mostly in 4Lo) and when I'm in 2 hi, a bump can trigger the ESC light, but then a 2nd bump can cause it to go out. Steering wheel has been centered. 6" lift, 37's. Computer has been updated for gearing and tire size (5.13's and 37's) Sometimes I go for days with no symptoms, but lately it has been coming on every drive. And like I said, on the trail in 4 Lo, its a night mare. I'm ready to have it all deleted since trails are about all I use mine for. I have no lockers to fuss with or quirky Auto Stabilizer bar disengage to troubleshoot. If it was a wheel speed sensor wire, it would be on all the time. I'm checking all those connections tho. 2020, Max Tow.

You need a scan tool that can monitor all 4 wheel speed sensors in real time to see if one is cutting out and narrowing it down from there. Physical inspection is only going to take you so far.

I like this idea. I have the time to troubleshoot it, so I'd rather pay me than a shop. Do you have such a tool? Or know where I can purchase one? FYI, this all started on a trail in MOAB when I went splashing through a mud puddle. Chicken Corners to be exact. Before that mud puddle, 0 issues. Thanks for the insight. Standing by.

I used to have the exact issue with my jeep liberty and finally determined it was a short in one of the speed sensor wires. All the same symptoms, serv 4wd, esc off, etc

I bought a Thinktool Pro Bi-Directional scan tool. A little on the pricey side and maybe more than one is willing to spend if they do not see the long term value in having such a tool.

You can search on Amazon for Bi-Directional OBDII scanners by other brands that will run cheaper but then you start getting into more limited functions the cheaper you go. A bit of a learning curve as most are geared towards professional mechanic use.

I'll check with my buddies at the shops before I splurge on one. Thanks for the insight.

Have you checked to make sure all your fuses are fully seated? I used to get this when my rig was new. I found multiple fuses needed a gentle nudge back in place.

So, I did this just before I took my JT out today (I hate driving in town) but ran to Costco. I could feel a few of them push ever so slightly down, so you maybe on to something here. Thank you. The plethera of warning lights did not pop on for todays drive, so keep your fingers crossed. This all started happening after I replaced both batteries, before the MOAB-Chicken dinners mud puddle fiasco, ha ha! Hope to see you all on the trails.

Mine had a similar set of lights come on and it ended up being a wheel speed sensor.

When you replaced the batteries, did you go in from the bottom through the fender liner, or pull the fuse box and go in from the top?

Fender liner. So much easier.

all right, I finally had the time to rip into the rear disc and see what’s going on. I’ll attach the video because I’m pretty sure this is what’s causing it, just in case anybody else is having the same problem it was not electronic it was a Mechanical.
